AEROMOTIVE FUEL SYSTEMS ON 2010 COBRA JET MUSTANGS

Aeromotive Fuel Systems confirmed that Ford Racing has selected them to
provide the fuel system for the 2010 Ford Cobra Jet. Aeromotive will be
supplying one of their brand new Stealth Fuel Cells as the heart of the
bulletproof fuel system. The Stealth Fuel Cell developed for the Cobra
Jet is a 6-gallon aluminum racing fuel cell with an Aeromotive
Eliminator fuel pump and filter inside the cell itself. The Eliminator
Fuel Pump is capable of supporting up to 1400 horsepower in these
applications; so running out of fuel pump is out of the question.

“We were very pleased with our 2008 Cobra Jets, but for 2010 we knew we
had to up the standard for our turn key drag cars. We partnered with
the best in the business to come up with a fuel system specifically
engineered for drag racing these supercharged, fuel injected motors,”
said Brian Wolfe, Director of North American Motorsports at Ford Motor
Co. “Aeromotive has done an excellent job and we are proud to have them
on our 2010 Cobra Jets.”

HISTORY AND TRADITION CONVERGE ON NED

When it comes to history, tradition and great racing, nothing matches the spectacle that is the Amalie Motor Oil North American Epping_1.jpgNationals presented by Dodge at New England Dragway.

For the 12th consecutive year the IHRA Nitro Jam tour will be back at
the historical Epping track with championships to be decided and
Ironman hardware to be claimed.

Drivers have seen their championship hopes realized and dreams
shattered at the legendary quarter-mile and with only three races

make a huge dent in the title chase of all 10 of IHRA’s championship
classes.

Rickie
Jones can’t remember a time when he wasn’t at the race track. The son
of noted race car builder Rick Jones, Rickie always RickieJIndy082908.jpgtagged along with
his dad as he would visit drag strips across the country to make sure
the Pro Stock and Pro Mod cars that he built were meeting the racers’

Eventually Rickie started working in his dad’s shop and then he was bit
by the racing bug himself. He started with his own Junior Dragster and

LITTON OPENS THE HOUSE

If you haven’t heard about Bruce Litton’s shop, you’re probably one of
a small few. Not only does the shop house his 300+ mph Lucas LITTON.jpgOil
Top Fuel team, the shop also doubles as a recreation of Litton’s
hometown of Oneida, Tenn. The 1950’s style shops and businesses make up
a Main Street USA feel that’s a delight to visitors.

Litton’s shop has never before been open to the general public.
However, on September 3rd, that will change as Litton hosts an Open
House from 4-7pm to benefit Riley Hospital for Children and Racers for
Christ. This event will be run in conjunction with the largest drag
racing event in the country, the NHRA Mac Tools U.S. Nationals.
Litton’s shop is within walking distance of O’Reilly Raceway Park,
where the U.S. Nationals will be held.

HAGAN'S DOUBLE LIFE

Matt Hagan is two very different people, it just depends on the
location. He's like the CIA secret agent who by day is a mild mannered MHagan_Farm.jpgbusinessman and by night an ultra super secret agent.

Hagan, 26, is both farmer and race car driver, family man and thrill seeker.

At home near Christiansburg (Va) Hagan is a throwback to the
traditional American family. He tends the family's 500 acre farm where
he raises Angus cattle while his wife raises their two year old son,
Colby and is expecting their second child, a girl, any day now. His
father co-owns Shelor Motors, a conglomeration of automotive
dealerships and Motor Mile Speedway, a short track steeped in racing
history.
