The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is hosting the Last-Chance Test Session
for professional NHRA teams, including POWERade Drag Racing Series Top Fuel
Dragster, Funny Car and Pro Stocks Friday through Sunday.  The NHRA POWERade
Drag Racing Series teams will use this as a last-chance thrash to tune up their
cars before the 2007 season begins in Pomona, Calif. The Torco's CompetitionPlus.com team will be on hand to bring you the same day notes.

and Don Schumacher Racing - as Top Fuel Dragster, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro
Stock Motorcycle teams fine-tune their entries in preparation for the grueling
2007 NHRA POWERade schedule.

With Southern California’s foothills serving as a dramatic
backdrop, the season concludes where it began nine months earlier with an event
traditionally laced with championship drama and last-chance bids for teams to
accomplish goals for the year. 

Many a season title has been decided at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway and many a world championship bid boosted by a crucial win. Last year,
reigning POWERade Top Fuel world champ Tony Schumacher enjoyed a $600,000 payday
by locking up the season title and winning Saturday’s Shootout and Sunday’s
event to earn a double-up bonus from NHRA.

As the Universal Technical Institute World Finals approaches, fans of
the IHRA eMax Nitro Jam™ Drag Racing Series will pay close attention to
the championship chases in the five professional categories. The event
will be held October 20 – 22 at Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina.

Championships are on the line for the 2nd annual ADRL Battle for the Belts and GetWorkComp.com World Finals from Kennedale, Texas. This is the final event of the 2006 season. Keep up with this weekend's action.
