LARRY MORGAN’S DRIVING PERFORMANCE SECRET

11_18_09_morganLarry Morgan knows what makes every part on his Pro Stock Dodge work.

However, the one-inch in diameter, silver patch he’s been wearing on his shoulder for the past few weeks remains a mystery. Morgan has suffered with a rotator cuff issue for years and now it feels new.

“I’m not exactly sure what’s in it and what it does, but I do know it takes the pain away,” said Morgan, who two weeks ago at the NHRA Las Vegas Nationals won his first Pro Stock event in seven years.

The 17-time national event winner said he drove at Vegas for the time first time without pain. He wasn’t skeptical of trying it either.

The Performance Chip Has Nothing To Do With The Car …

Larry Morgan doesn't believe it's a coincidence that he's driving pain free for the first time in years.

“I figured anything is worth trying if it takes away the pain,” Morgan added. “It’s a good deal. I think everyone ought to try it.”

Mitch Ross, a personal trainer from Fultondale, Ala., developed the performance chip five years ago as a means for athletes to both manage aches and pains and gain a little pep in their step in a safe and manageable method. He’s worked with high profile stick and ball athletes like NFL linebacker Ray Lewis and Major League Baseball’s Johnny Damon just to name a few.

“The patch manages the pain,” Ross explained. “It shuts the frequency of pain that goes to the brain. Our performance chip, which a few racers are using, helps with their reaction times.”

“My business partner and I developed the chip and the formula,” he continued. “Five years ago we wanted to develop alternatives for steroids so that athletes could compete without cheating. We have a track record of changing the outcome of sports whether it’s through athletes like Bret Favre, who used them to return to pro football this season.”

So what is the key ingredient in this magical patch?

“Think of them as frequency balancers for the body,” Ross explained. “It’s like a cell phone for the human body. It transmits information to the body, whether it’s to manage pain or improve performance.”

Drag racing is Ross’ latest target audience. He’s also developed chips targeting for golf and fishing.

Ross’ father-in-law, Danny Mordecai, introduced the product to the drag racing community through former athlete and drag racer Jerry Coley.

Coley, a 72-year old former college football and professional baseball player, began using Ross’ product and eventually distributed the product throughout the pits.

“I was skeptical at first, as I usually am,” Coley, a former racer in the old Modified eliminator division, admitted. “I didn’t initially try it, I put it on Tommy Utt’s girlfriend Carolyn and it cured her knee problems. Then I tried it on my hip now I have no pain. On our flight to Pomona, I used the performance chip and after a four-hour flight, I had plenty of energy.”

Coley works with Pro Stock racer Rodger Brogdon, who has became a strong supporter of the product. He’s used the patch to manage the pain he’s endured from a torn meniscus prior to the season. Brogdon plans surgery after the season, but by using the patch he said he was able to finish the year.

“I don’t know what’s in it, but I know it works,” Brogdon said. “I started using them a while back and it takes the pain away. Sometimes it hurts but nothing like I’ve ever seen before.”

He's not hurting as much.

And it just so happens that Brogdon’s driving has improved.

Just how impressed is Brogdon with the product?

He’s planning to develop a motorsports division of the performance chip and pain management patch with plans to market to the drag racing community in January of 2010. The product will sold to the racing community through both the souvenir trailer on the NHRA Manufacturer’s Midway as well as the company’s forthcoming website

"We have some really good things coming with this," Brogdon confirmed.
