THE REAL NITRO PROBLEM

This weekend's flap may have been just the tip of the iceberg of forthcoming problems related to nitromethane. Reportedly, the idea of an armed guard attending the nitro supplies was scrapped after the Gainesville event thus removing one of the largest stated factors in the price increase for the weekend. Believe what you want, but solid sources have confirmed the sport's nitro supply is in serious jeopardy.

Schumacher has not publicly stated this, but sources close to him, have told CompetitionPlus.com he got into the business of nitro distribution with the sole purpose of keeping the prices of the fuel down to a somewhat reasonable cost. We are told Schumacher has made the fact known to his peers he'd rather turn the nitro business over to the Professional Racers Organization and have them supply the sport with the product that their members use.
