VP RACING FUELS TO SPONSOR MATUSEK ON NHRA WESTERN SWING

VP Racing Fuels, Inc., having powered countless race wins and championships for years in the NHRA’s Pro Stock Class, will sponsor Pro Mod turning Pro Stock racer Steve Matusek and feature their Madditive® and Small Engine Fuel products on the famed Western Swing.

“Steve Matusek’s highly regarded for his work in the racing industry with Aeromotive Fuel Systems and Waterman Racing Components, and we are glad to support his first endeavor in NHRA Pro Stock. VP will also provide support with VP Racing Fuels for his NHRA Pro Mod team for the balance on the 2019 season,” said Chris Wall, Senior Director, VP Racing Fuels. “We think Matusek and Madditives will be the talk of the tour out west and we look forward to showcasing our performance fuels and chemicals.”

Matusek’s NHRA Pro Stock car, a 2019 Ford Mustang fielded by Elite Motorsports, will carry VP Madditives chemical and additive line and VP Small Engine Fuels logos along with the Mad Scientist®, VP’s mascot and symbol of the company’s relentless passion for developing products that outperform the competition.

"Having been involved in the racing industry as a business owner and race car driver, I've been fortunate to work with VP Racing Fuels and their products many times throughout my career.  My business, Aeromotive Fuel Systems Inc., strives to build the best fuel pumps and components in the same manner that VP works to create the best products for vehicles including Madditives and their Small Engine Fuels."

The NHRA Western Swing features three back-to-back races starting at Denver, Colorado July 19-21, Sonoma, California July 26-28, and Seattle, Washington August 2-4.

THERMO-TEC JOINS MATUSEK FOR WESTERN SWING

Steve Matusek also revealed that Thermo-Tec, the original developer of heat and sound insulation technology, will be a sponsor on the Elite Motorsports 2019 Pro Stock Ford Mustang for all three races during his venture on the NHRA’s Western Swing.

Matusek’s first career Pro Stock race will take place next weekend at Bandimere Speedway in Denver, and the growing buzz surrounding his debut made it an easy decision for Thermo-Tec to jump on board.

“It’s very exciting for us and honestly it was a no-brainer,” Thermo-Tec Director of Sales and Marketing Brian Prior said. “I’ve known Steve a long time, it’s his first foray into Pro Stock and he’s doing it with a great car, so it’s all very exciting and we’re glad to be a part of it. Elite Motorsports is a top team, Steve and Aeromotive make the top fuel systems in the industry, and we believe at Thermo-Tec we’re the top company when it comes to heat and sound insulation technology. It was absolutely a no-brainer.”

Based in Greenwich, Ohio, Thermo-Tec has established itself as one of the industry’s top providers of high-quality heat and sound insulation products for high-performance vehicles for more than three decades.

Much like Matusek has done with Aeromotive since he founded the company in 1994, Thermo-Tec has prided itself on innovative, outside-the-box thinking when it comes to their line of exhaust insulating and heat protection technology. Now they’ve partnered with Matusek and Elite Motorsports on his exciting new endeavor into Pro Stock.

“We’ve always been a forward-thinking company and that’s been obvious with Thermo-Tec’s approach as well, so it really made sense to work together on this new opportunity in Pro Stock,” Matusek said. “I’m really excited to have a company of their caliber on this new journey. It’s going to be a challenge racing in this class, which makes it critical to have great partners on board. We have that with Thermo-Tec and I can’t wait to get to Denver and see what we can do on Thunder Mountain.”

Thermo-Tec’s forward-thinking approach to its fully-tested product line is equally appealing to Matusek, who is celebrating Aeromotive’s 25th anniversary in 2019. Meanwhile, Prior and Thermo-Tec believe Matusek joining a Pro Stock operation as successful as Elite Motorsports makes this partnership even more enticing.

“We’re excited to see him behind the wheel,” Prior said. “The talent and the equipment is there, and it’s a Mustang, so it’s going to be a great opportunity for Steve and it’s really exciting for us. With what Elite is doing in Pro Stock, there’s tremendously talented people working for (team owner) Richard (Freeman), and we have great people here. It’s big for us to be involved, it’s big for Steve and it’s all just a perfect match.”
