TF RACER HART EXPANDS RACING STABLE TO INCLUDE FSS MOPAR

Top Fuel racer Josh Hart is expanding his growing drag racing program to include a Factory Stock Showdown entry in 2022. Initial plans call for Hart's wife Brittanie to drive the DragPak Challenger in NHRA competition.

"We ordered it in early 2019, we were on the list for it, and everything was delayed because of COVID, and then my daughter was born," Hart explained. "That changed things drastically."

The Harts took delivery of the hot rod Mopar in the middle of the 2020 season and understood a car of this magnitude couldn't sit idle in the shop.

"We don't need it just sitting around as an investment; let's see what we can do with it," Hart said. "I'll put some laps on it, see how it goes. I'm kind of hoping that she comes around.

For years Brittanie has been his solid support system, Hart said.

"Family that races together stays together," Hart said. "It's a lot to be out on tour and we're getting ready to do 22 Top Fuel races. So it's important that she keeps engaged, and this will be the vehicle."

Thus far, only Hart has made laps in the car.

Brittanie's previous experience was in driving a 10.9-second Mustang, and the moment she exited the car after multiple laps, Hart knew her feelings.

"Big smile on her face," Hart confirmed.
