As the world adjusts to the COVID-19 pandemic, more and more sporting events have cancelled or postponed in accordance to suggestions from government officials seeking to contain the virus.

The latest event to postponed is the Sweet 16 3.0 event, a race with limited participation and spectator attendance. This postponement was the news delivered by Donald "Duck" Long on Saturday afternoon in a Facebook Live video.

Duck Week will become a pure survival of the fittest event, as both events will run back-to-back in October.

The Sweet Sixteen 3.0 entry lists and spectator tickets are already established. The event will move to October 9-11, 2020. Instead of starting on a Thursday, the race will move to a Friday through Sunday format. On Monday, October 12, race officials will begin parking cars for No Mercy 11.

Don't think for a moment since Long only allows 500 spectators entrance to the specialty event; he didn't try to find a way to accommodate the racers, spectators and vendors who were planning to attend this weekend's event.

"We actually were going to take [ticket] armbands and put different bands on spectators, and put groups of you all, like blue armbands in one bleacher, orange armbands in the other bleacher. Other bands on the stage and then rotate them around.

'We were going to hand out [medical] masks at the gate for you guys. But also, we do understand the government officials and everything. "This deal's probably going to keep getting worse and worse over the next couple of weeks. We just want everybody to be safe, though."
