SHRADER SET TO DEFEND PIEDMONT POINTS TITLE DURING FIRST EVER CALL OUT EVENT

The 2018 season ended with a first for Brian Shrader and for Piedmont Dragway with an NHRA Wally given to final race winner.

The season-opener on March 30, 2019, will have a new approach to kick off the new year.

With Robert Hayes doing the chassis and Gene Fulton providing reliable power on his championship ride, Shrader will be the first driver to issue a callout, second-place finisher Tim Lawrence the second, and with Bubba Turner third and not able to attend, drivers will move up a slot. This will mean that Cam Clark, next in final points will be third to issue a call out with Brett Nesbitt, fourth in points being the final driver.

The bottom four will consist of Travis Harvey, Jason Harris, Justin Wall, and probably Scott Lang filling out the field. The callouts will continue until one man is left standing and will receive the first place money provided by Bryant Mariner, owner of “The Hook,” a new entry into the field for the 2019 season of “The Big Dog Shootout."

Also competing will be the 7.49 Rico’s Real Street, as well as, a special 26” Small Tire Shootout.
