INAUGURAL FUNNY CAR CHAOS EVENT COMING IN SEPTEMBER

Since the announcement of the Inaugural Funny Car Chaos event in December, interest in this flip top outlaw showdown has been creating a huge buzz. Set to rock Denton, Texas on September 29th & 30th, 2017 at North Star Dragway, this no holds barred, limitation exempt affair has caught the eye of over twenty five funny car teams planning to attend. A true "run what you brung" contest, Funny Car Chaos will showcase funny cars of all types, engine combinations and body styles competing for over $25,000 in prize money. Twenty four cars will qualify for the main event. Those twenty four will be split into A (Top 8 qualifiers) and B (9-24 qualifiers) fields and contested on a full elimination ladder to decide a Champion for each class. If it's a funny car, it's legal for this event!

A plethora of nitro and alcohol funny cars make up the ever growing list of entrants that now surpasses twenty five cars including the two top nitro nostalgia funny cars of the lone star state, Ronny Young's "Blue Max" and John Hale's "One Bad Texan". Fellow nitro burners on the bill include Reno, Nevada based Chris Morel in the "Little City Cuda", Marc White in Frank & Debra Ousley's Illinois based "Crop Duster", Keith Jackson's Denver, Colorado based "High Heaven", Fred Farndon's "Play It Loud" and the "Invader Corvette" driven by Rick Krafft from Oklahoma and Troy Ray's "Wild Side" from Tennessee. A massive amount of blown alcohol entries will be in the house including Jim Chase's "Wicked Quick" 1957 Chevy bodied machine from all the way from Bismark, North Dakota. Chase will be joined by several participants from the Southwestern states including Andy Mears, Clay Cunningham, Charles Ware and even NHRA Division 4 TA/FC runner Mark Billington!

The excitement continues to ramp up as Red Line Shirt Club, maker of vintage drag racing tees, steps up as primary sponsor of the event. Race promoter Chris Graves shares his excitement in bringing
