DUNN, CAMPBELL HEAD TO BRISTOL, NORWALK WITH NEW LOOK AND SPONSOR

The hot rod red painted flames on the hood of the Jim Dunn Racing Funny Car during upcoming NHRA national events in Bristol, Tennessee and Norwalk, Ohio represent the team’s sponsor, Blaze Exhaust Probes.  A key element used in drag racing to measure exhaust temperatures, Blaze Technical Services helps the Dunn’s and many other teams achieve 320 mph runs through the monitoring of engine performance.

Jim Dunn Racing and driver Jim Campbell are coming off back to back races in Joliet, Illinois and Topeka, Kansas where they ran well in qualifying and lost close races during elimination rounds on Sunday.  The single car, family run team, appreciates support from major industry manufacturers like Blaze.  “We’ve used Blaze exhaust probes in our Funny Car for years and appreciate the support of our team and the sport of NHRA Drag Racing,” said Team Manager, Jon Dunn. “Like many racing teams, we enjoy the Bristol race over Father’s Day Weekend, and the Norwalk race in the summer resort area.  It’s great to have a sponsor located in northeastern Ohio that wants to be involved in the back-to-back events.”

Beyond racing exhaust probes, Blaze manufactures devices to monitor seeds, plants, and other organics that help the agriculture industry reach maximum performance crop yields.  Following the life cycle of agriculture products, Blaze also makes monitoring devices to help process consumer goods that meet standards in the food and beverage industry.

The Blaze sponsored Funny Car team will compete at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, June 14-16, followed one week later in Norwalk at the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals, June 20-23.  Fans can follow the team on Facebook at @JimDunnRacing, and watch Fox Sports broadcasts throughout the race weekend.
