DI’S WORLD SERIES OF PRO MOD LANDS KEY SPONSORS

Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage (JHG) and J&A Service will serve as the presenting sponsors of the 2024 Drag Illustrated World Series of Pro Mod (WSOPM). The event is scheduled for March 1-3 at Bradenton Motorsports Park and will feature over 60 top Pro Modified teams vying for a $100,000 winner-take-all prize.

This news comes on the heels of the successful inaugural SCAG Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout, which was presented by Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage at Bradenton. With its impressive collection of over 200 cars, ranging from classic hot rods to cutting-edge supercars, JHG is making its WSOPM debut as the co-presenting sponsor. Additionally, JHG will partner with Elite Motorsports and compete for a $25,000 prize in the second annual Mountain Motor Pro Stock Invitational.

Drag Illustrated founder and editorial director, Wes Buck, expressed his enthusiasm for JHG’s involvement.

“Jason Johnson and his entire team at JHG have made a huge impact on the sport of drag racing over the last few years,” said Wes Buck, Drag Illustrated founder & editorial director and WSOPM promoter. “He’s the definition of a car guy, and his passion for the sport is evident. Jason, his wife Nikki, Director of Operations Chris Solzano, and the JHG team have become a part of the DI family. We’re thrilled to have them involved in the World Series of Pro Mod.”

In addition to JHG, J&A Service, a leader in the oil and gas service industry, will also play a crucial role as a presenting sponsor. The company specializes in completion, flowback, and production operations for exploration and production companies. Founded by racers Jim and Annie Whiteley, J&A Service has a strong background in supporting race teams, sanctioning bodies, and standalone events. Their involvement with the WSOPM dates back to its inaugural event at Bandimere Speedway in 2017.

“Jim and Annie Whiteley are two incredible people who have believed in what we’re doing with the WSOPM since the very beginning,” Buck said. “Jim and his son, Steven, have competed in the race, and when they couldn’t, they still found a way to send J&A Service teams to support the event. The Whiteleys share our vision that this group of racers deserves rock star treatment and big payouts. We couldn’t do this without their support.”
