Competition Plus has learned Del Worsham will run a second nitro Funny Car at the Gatornationals this weekend.

Cory Lee will be the driver of Worsham’s second Funny Car. The last time drove Worsham’s second Funny Car was at the St. Louis NHRA national event last fall. He made two qualifying attempts.

Before his qualifying attempts last season, Lee drove Chuck and Del Worsham’s family Funny Car sponsored by Lupe Tortilla at the NHRA national event in Dallas in 2015.

Lee also occasionally drives a Nostalgia Funny Car. After two races this season, Worsham is 13th in the point standings. He lost in the first round to Tim Wilkerson and Courtney Force at the Winternationals and Arizona Nationals.
