NHRA Pro Stock driver Drew Skillman confirmed to CompetitionPlus.com Wednesday he is no longer with Elite Motorsports and is now driving for Gray Motorsports.

"I was let go," Skillman said. "We planned on racing with Elite, but we couldn't get things worked out."

Skillman said after he was released, just 15 minutes later he joined Gray Motorsports. Skillman becomes a teammate to Shane Gray.

"I'm excited to be a part of Gray Motorsports," Skillman said.

Skillman said he will be driving his family-owned Camaro with a new motor supplied by Gray Motorsports. He will be competing at Epping, N.H., this weekend the next scheduled NHRA national event.

Skillman said Tomi Laine will be his crew chief at Gray Motorsports.

Skillman is tied for fourth in the season point standings with Allen Johnson.
