ARP QUESTION OF THE WEEK RESULTS - SURVEY SAYS ... GET RID OF THE PRO MOD BODIES IN AA/FC

The new Pro Modified-style Funny Car bodies are ruining Nostalgia Funny Car [AA/FC] racing says the majority of CompetitionPlus.com readers in the most recent ARP Question of the Week.

An overwhelming 87% of the 4,600 readers who participated in the poll said these cars are not representative of the era they are promoting.

Facebook lit up with the majority of readers speaking out against the new trend.

CompetitionPlus.com reader Randy Goodwin said via Facebook, "They are why I don't go to the nostalgia races. Nothing nostalgia about them. That is all."

Michael Hamner added, "I don't like them. They are more money and therefore add to cost. I can hardly tell it's a Camaro as it is out of proportion. Nope. Nada."

"I look at the OLD pics of funny cars and they look killer," said Dale Orange. "I get most had front fenders longer than some of the old school bodies BUT not as long as some are stretching them. I'm not a chassis guy, so no idea if they're doing it to fit moderen equipment, safety stuff etc. True old school is the best."
