The three-day event features two races each on Friday and Saturday and another one on Sunday, rewarding each race winner $10,000.

After a disappointing -.001 red-light in Race 1, Langdon returned in the evening and swept the field, taking home the trophy and $10,000 top prize in his Lucas Oil dragster.

"I'm having a blast," Langdon said. "There are 240 cars here, including lots of the big bracket racing hitters, and to win any race against these guys is a bigdeal to me. Getting $10,000 isn't bad either."

As a Top Fuel rookie, Langdon is realizing that many of his old sportsman rivals have become supporters of his professional endeavors.

"It's been really cool to hang out with all my old friends and a lot of people have told me they're pulling for me," Langdon said. "We're all a big family out here and everyone's got your back. When we're racing, we're trying to kill each other but the rest of the time we're all good friends. I'm proud to represent all the sportsman racers out there."

Langdon will remain in Bowling Green and contest the last three races of the Tenn-Tuck event.
