BERNER WILL SUPPORT ADRL

With the recent American Drag Racing League (ADRL) announcement concerning the addition of Extreme Pro Stock at all 10 National Events, much buzz is going through the Mountain Motor world. Pete Berner, a two-time IHRA Pro Stock World Champion and long-time supporter of the class, is excited for this new racing venue and the opportunities that Extreme Pro Stock brings.

"The ADRL is a great organization and has already done much for our sport," says the '08 IHRA Pro Stock World Champ. "Their innovative approach to competition and fans has set new standards. As the ADRL continues to grow with the addition of Extreme Pro Stock, I'm excited for the future of the organization and to be able to be a part of it. Kenny Nowling has put a lot of work into getting this Extreme Pro Stock program going and I hope that it gets the support it deserves. Many thanks go out to him for putting this deal together." Berner plans to run as many ADRL events as possible. "I am thrilled that Mountain Motor competitors have another venue. We put a lot of time, money, and hard work into our operations and it's great to have more places to put that into action. I am very happy to support the ADRL in this new venture. With their sponsorship backing and massive fan appeal of ADRL, I think this is a great opportunity for Pro Stock to showcase our sponsors in front of so many fans. I think the class will be a hit in the ADRL."

With the opportunity to run both IHRA and ADRL events, Berner's Quarter-Max.com Pontiac Motorsports team will be competing in over 15 events in 2009. The team will be making additional changes for the season including a new semi-trailer with fan-friendly features. Berner's championship operation gets under way with testing in a few short weeks. His in-house engine program will be putting motors on the dyno next week, gearing up for a jam-packed season, to chase championships in both IHRA and ADRL.
