On the heels of the recent unpublicized Pro Stock spec tire rule, the NHRA has introduced a new rule for the Pro Stock Motorcycle division. Apparently the Harley-Davidson teams have gained approval for a new engine configuration granting the V-Rod bikes four valves per cylinder.
Many of the teams are crying foul over the decision considering Suzuki’s new Hyabusa combination was denied final approval over a transmission issue. The Buell combination will be limited to two valves per cylinder.
CompetitionPlus.com is in touch with various teams and should have a full report as early as tomorrow.
