The Claremore, Okla., based Woods Truck Lot and Used Car Super Center, is one of the largest used car lots in the Tulsa, Okla., region and owner Tim Woods decided to jump on board with Mike Edwards Motorsports to try and help a local racer reach his ultimate goal of an NHRA Pro Stock championship.

“With all the changes that have happened the last few months, we wanted to try and find a way to help Mike for the 2009 season,” said Shane Wood of Wood’s Truck Lot and Used Car Super Center. “Everything about his team fits what we try and do in business. Mike has good values, understands the importance of being down to earth, runs a class operation and most of all, and gives the local drag racing community a hometown hero to cheer for.”

Edwards added, “This is a huge help to our operation in so many ways,” Edwards said. “It is nice to get support from local companies in our quest on the NHRA tour, and in return, we hope we help them generate a few more sales in the coming year.”
