ROUTE 66 ADDRESSES RUMORS
Amidst the rumors that Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill., has
experienced a massive cutback of manpower and major events, a visit to
their website reveals the facility located outside of Chicago plans a
handful of major events in 2009 beginning with the
NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series event on June 4 - 7, 2009.
Amidst the rumors that Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill., has
experienced a massive cutback of manpower and major events, a visit to
their website reveals the facility located outside of Chicago plans a
handful of major events in 2009 beginning with the
NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series event on June 4 - 7, 2009.
A week later the facility, located outside of Chicago, will host an NHRA Division 3 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event.
In addition to the NHRA events, Route 66 Raceway has planned specialty events such as a Super Chevy, NMRA/NMCA and other drag racing events for its local drivers throughout the season.
According to Route66Raceway.com, the track's site urges fans, "Keep posted to Route 66 Raceway's website for updated information on next season's finalized racing schedule."
