TOP FUEL MOTORCYCLES TO JOIN TAD AND TAFC IN GAMBLER SHOWDOWN AT THE STRIP IN LAS VEGAS

The final event of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing NHRA divisional series – the Gambler Showdown Presented by Short Line Express Markets at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway -- traditionally is one of the most spectacular Sportsman drag racing events of the season.  With more than 970 entrants, a stellar field of Top Alcohol Dragsters and Funny Cars and NHRA national points titles decided at The Strip at LVMS, the Nov. 7-9 event is a true showcase of grassroots drag racing. This year, the event will be even more spectacular with the addition of the WHRA Top Fuel Motorcycle Finals. "The final event of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing divisional series has always been special with the top sportsman drag racers from all across America coming to Las Vegas to determine the seven NHRA divisional titles as well as some of the National titles," said Chris Blair.  "This year we wanted do something a little different that would add even more excitement at America's Greatest Drag Strip. Based on past experience, nothing compares to 220-mph, nitro-powered motorcycles."

The WHRA Top Fuel Motorcycle Finals will showcase 12 of the top riders in the sport of drag racing.  One round of qualifying will be held on Friday, Nov. 7, and two additional rounds will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8 (immediately following Top Alcohol Funny Car and Top Alcohol Dragster qualifying). The eight quickest riders will race off in eliminations on Sunday, Nov. 9.
