DAVID POWERS MOTORSPORTS INKS ASSOCIATE PARTNERSHIP WITH DATADOT USA

DataDot USA has been named an associate racing partner of David Powers Motorsports, team owner David Powers announced today. The DataDot logo will be placed on the Antron Brown-driven Matco Tools dragster beginning at the prestigious U.S Nationals.

The partnership between David Powers Motorsports and DataDot USA delivers retail distribution opportunities with Matco Tools, America’s No. 1 tool franchise. DataDots are a state of the art microdot identification technology used to mark a wide range of assets with its own “unique DNA.” The dots are laser-etched with multiple lines of information and registered into a secure national data base. About the size of a grain of sand, the dots can be read with a 30x magnifier and prove true ownership of an asset.  DataDots cutting-edge technology covers a wide range of applications and was recently featured in two episodes of CSI.  The 1,500 Matco Tools distributors in North America and Puerto Rico will now offer DataDots on their tool trucks. The partnership between DPM and DataDot USA was consummated by Forward Sports Marketing, the agency of record of DPM. “While we do business in 39 countries around the world and have involvement with governments as well as major manufacturers of automobiles, jewelry, badge authentication and monies, we are looking forward to our Matco Tools relationship to help stop theft of tools in North America,” Rick Hughes, CEO of DataDot Dealer Services, said. “We believe Matco Tools, David Powers Motorsports and DataDots will be an exceptional team with a mutual objective to stop theft and aid in the recovery and owner identification of stolen tools.”

“DataDots are an awesome product,” Brown added. “If I was a technician, I’d definitely use DataDots on my Matco tools. Thieves have a hard time selling stolen property marked with DataDots. And if another technician borrows your Matco Tool and claims it’s theirs, it’s easy to prove who owns it by using a simple magnifier.”

The DataDot Technology Group of companies are world leaders in asset identification and offer the ultimate theft deterrent solution for cars, motorcycles, trucks, marine craft, heavy equipment, home contents, business assets and most other high value items.
