The 2008 Ashley Force Castrol GTX Ford Mustang die-cast from Motorsports Authentics commemorating her fantastic rookie season will be available starting today, July 9^th. As the winner of the Automobile Club of Southern California Road to the Future Award last year Ashley Force was already recognized as one of the hottest stars on the NHRA POWERade Series. Her collectibles ranging from the Mattel Ashley Force doll or previously released 1:24 scale die-cast Mustang, 1:16 scale Milestone dragster and Hot Wheels dragster are tremendous collectibles for true Ashley Force and John Force Racing fans.

“I’m excited about my rookie of the year die-cast. Not only will I have the die-cast but we will be racing that car at the Mac Tools US Nationals, the biggest race of the year, Labor Day weekend. That will make this die-cast even more special,” said the first female to win a Funny Car event. “This is my first specialty car. I love the color pink. It is one of my favorite colors. I did ask my team about having a pink car since it is their Rookie of the Year car as well and they were fine with it. They actually thought it would be intimidating since most guys will never admit it but they don’t want to lose to a girl much less a girl in a pick car.”

The pink and white 1:24 scale Ford Mustang will feature all the traditional sponsor logos with one exception. The dominant Castrol GTX logo will be moved up on the hood to make room for a historical montage of images chronicling Ashley Force’s young and exceptional career. Spread out across the hood will be shots of her Super Comp and A Fuel Dragster as well as an image of her legendary father John Force. A shot from last season’s successful rookie campaign will take center stage alongside the trademark helmet shot highlighting Ashley’s “eyes of determination.”

“I love that the Motorsports Authentics die-casts are real cars that really race. I think it is great that fans can get the die-casts and then see my Castrol GTX Ford Mustang at the track. That makes it a special memento. I know all my favorite die-casts they are of my dad’s cars that were specialty cars like the Grinch die-cast from a few years ago. I have great memories of seeing that car. There will never be another Rookie of the Year car for me and I’ll only race it at Indianapolis so that will be doubly special,” added Force.

In 2007 Ashley Force roared onto the NHRA POWERade scene with high expectations and realistic goals. She finished the season in the POWERade Top Ten and became the first female to reach a final round when she squared off against Tony Pedregon in Las Vegas in October. She was a fan and media favorite all season and never lost her enthusiasm for meeting the fans.
