The NHRA issued the following statement upon learning NOPI cancelled two western events on their schedule. Last season, the NHRA turned over their sport compact program to NOPI.

The statement read, "NHRA just learned that NOPI Motorsports has cancelled the NOPI Colorado and NOPI Utah events, June 21-22 and July 18-19, respectively.

"NHRA is very disappointed to hear of the cancellations.  We anxiously await word on NOPI Motorsports’ plans to mitigate the loss of these two events."
