At present, Bruce Boland of Hamilton, Ontario, leads the 2008 Point Series, sponsored by Wix Filters, Valvoline, Uni-Select, and Moen. Larry Sinke of Welland, Ontario is next, followed by Matt Guenther of Livonia, New York. Jeff Roth of Kitchener, Ontario is fourth, and Terry Brown of Caledonia, Ontario, rounds out the top five.

With increased sponsorship, a record number of teams, and the Ajax Engines Chicago-style Shoot-out to round out the eliminations, this season promises to be the best ever for the PMRA fans.

There will be three qualifying sessions on Saturday, June 28 starting at 2:00 p.m. Championship eliminations for the top eight qualifiers will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Joining the PMRA Pro Modifieds will be the OSCA (Ontario Street Car Association) featuring the wild and ferocious Super Street Outlaw 10.5 cars. Since its inception about 12 years ago, Super Street Outlaw class drag racing, also known as 10.5 -inch tire racing, has grown tremendously. With a basic platform revolving around a stock- bodied muscle car and stock-style front suspension, the class is restricted to a 10.5-inch wide rear slick, and all entries must run mufflers to maintain some roots to their street driven origin.
