Together in partnership with San Francisco’s KFRC 106.9 FM, CBS 5 and product sponsors Intro Wheels, Global West Suspension, Billy Built, BF Goodrich, Grant Driving Accessories, Steele Rubber Products, PPG Paint and Troy’s Body & Paint, Goodguys will give away a Vintage 1965 Mustang this season.  The car will be given away at the 19th Autumn Get-Together, November 8 & 9 at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds, in Pleasanton, CA this fall. Semi finalists will be chosen at all four 2008 Goodguys events held at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds. Additional finalists and qualifiers will be chosen throughout the year by registering on KFRC’s website www.kfrc.com.

The Mustang is a clean 60’s Muscle Car powered by a potent 289 V-8 engine. Additional features include a four speed manual transmission, custom 17” Intro wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich rubber, Grant steering wheel, a Global West coilover suspension installed by Billy Built, weather stripping by Steele Rubber products, body & paint products by PPG masterfully applied by Troy’s Autobody of Tracy, CA.

The potent Pony serves as the third car in the last ten years Goodguys has given away as a promotion in Northern California. “We appreciate the participants and spectators that come to all of our events across the country but our Pleasanton events have always had huge crowds and we’d like to honor them with something special,” said Goodguys President Marc Meadors. “They’ve supported our events all these years and it feels good to give away a car and get more people involved in the car hobby. We wanted to step up and offer a nice 60s Muscle Car to a lucky winner. Muscle Cars are popular with ALL generations. This is a really clean muscle car. We’re proud to offer it as a special giveaway car.”

It’s going to be a busy year for vehicle giveaways at Goodguys events this year. In addition to the Mustang, The Air Ride Technologies Grand Prize Giveaway ‘70 Chevelle and the Speed ’33 Grand Prize Giveaway street rod will be given away at the 11th PPG Nationals this summer in Columbus, OH.

KFRC will have the giveaway Mustang on display at the three remaining Goodguys Pleasanton events this season (Summer Get-Together May 31 & June 1, West Coast Nationals August 22, 23 & 24, and the Autumn Get-Together November 8 & 9).
