HARKER SIGNS LEND-AMERICA

dianaharker.jpgKDH Racing announced today that youngest member of the Harker Family, Diana will debut in her first full season as a rookie driver in the NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster Class with support from Michael Ashley’s Lend America.

The 24-year old Australian will follow in her twin sister, Kate’s foot steps and be at the wheel of 2003 Top Alcohol Dragster Champion Team Owner/Crew Chief and Four time Division Five Champion, Randy Meyer’s A/Fuel Dragster for a schedule 12races. No stranger to the alcohol class, the Harker-Meyer team made a successful campaign in late 2007 across four events with a great semi-final finish to add to their credit. Harker is set to compete at 7 National and 5 Divisional races on the NHRA Lucas Oil Schedule and will proudly carry the Lend America logo along with support from Lucas Oil and Hedman Hedders, ARP, Aeroquip, Taylor Cables, Solder Seal Gunk, Aeromotive, and Meyer Truck Center.

“On behalf of Randy Meyer and myself we are proud to welcome the team at Lend America on board. Kate and I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Ashley at the end of last season and it was certainly a memorable experience getting to know Mike, the Team at Lend America and Gotham City Racing. I can’t thank Mr Ashley enough for this wonderful opportunity and I look forward to proudly representing Lend America both on and off the track.” said Diana

The Harker-Meyer team are getting set to make their first race debut at the Gatornationals in Gainesville, FL March 13-16 were Diana will be joined by her father, Steve in the Alcohol Funny Car class and a change of schedule will now also see Diana’s twin sister, Kate competing at the event in the A/fuel Dragster ranks driving for Tom Conway.

This will be the second time the twins will have debuted together at a NHRA National event and both ladies are looking forward to the chance of facing off on the race track.

“I spent the best part of last season not only learning the ropes on our dad’s Alcohol Funny Car but also helping out on Kate’s A/Fuel Dragster. It’s a great opportunity for Kate and I to be here racing in the United States and I loved every minute of watching Kate and dad race last season but I know a huge part of me wanted to be out there competing too.” said Harker

“Kate and I have always been competitive in any sports activities we’ve done and throughout our racing careers but in saying that we believe in each other’s ability to get the job done and there is never an issue because one is doing better than the other. We’re supportive of each other and always believe that no matter what we’re in this together.” said Harker

Before making the trip to Gainesville Fl, the Harker-Meyer team will be taking part in the Eastern Spring Test Nationals in Valdosta, GA to prepare the team for their Gatornationals debut.
