In addition to the Hall of Fame awards for racing achievements, the committee initiated a Life Time Achievement award this year to be presented to a non-driving person whose lifetime of involvement advanced the sport of drag racing. The recipient of the first Life Time Achievement and inductee into the Hall of Fame was Norman Drouillard.
