The Pro Modified Racing Association, is pleased to announce the return of the Wix Filtration Products, Valvoline, Uni-Select, and Moen Incorporated point award series fund for its 2008 PMRA racing season.

 

“We at the PMRA are very happy to have Wix Filters, Valvoline, Uni-Select, and Moen Faucets returning to the PMRA next year,” stated Bruce Mehlenbacher, Director of Operations. “This is a very important part of our series, and provides the PMRA with solid marketing partners for both the teams and the series.”

 

Next season will be the second year of the partnership between the point award sponsors and the PMRA. This year’s PMRA Champion was Bruce Boland of Hamilton, Ontario.

 

“Wix Filters is pleased to announce that they will be a co-sponsor for the 2008 PMRA racing program,” said Jack Brooks, Wix Filtration Products Sales Manager. “The PMRA exemplifies the dedication of the Pro Modified racers to this series. The car count has been outstanding along with a very close point race. We find this exposure very rewarding as it shows not only the racer our commitment to the program but also to all the fans that attend these very exciting events.”

 

“We’re trying to bring the best in Pro Modified racing to our fans, and the best venues for our teams,” Mehlenbacher went on. “With support from Wix Filtration Products, Valvoline, Uni-Select, and Moen Incorporated, our goal becomes that much closer.”

 

It was announced that the PMRA will be returning to the Canadian venues of Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga for two events, May 17 and 18, and June 28 and they have confirmed dates for the Grand Bend Motorplex, August 30 and 31 and Sanair on August 16.

 

Negotiations are underway way with several US race tracks based in Michigan, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania with the plan of presenting a seven event PMRA drag racing series for 2008.
