The Copper Train Development group took over the operation of the multipurpose facility when the previous management group, Firebird International Raceway, was unable to reach and agreement with the Sun Valley Marina Corporation and the Gila River Indian Community a little over a year ago.

Copper Train Development had already made significant upgrades to the facility including a new racing surface, scoreboards, public address system among other improvements.

The report said the track will continue operations as scheduled.
