tafcIn the final results from the Carlyle Tools NHRA Carolina Nationals presented by NAPA Auto Parts, Top Alcohol Dragster driver, Brandon Booher scored his first national event victory, while Frank Manzo, continued his late season tear in Top Alcohol Funny, earning his third win in as many races.

Starting from the No. 4 spot, Booher opened eliminations with a win over Karen Stalba, before then taking out Ken Perry in the quarterfinals with an impressive 5.320 e.t. at 275.39 mph, the third fastest mph ever for a blown car. In the semis, Booher easily moved past No. 1 qualifier, Jeff Veale before then meeting up with class veteran, Rich McPhillips in the final. Throughout the weekend, Booher was consistently in the low to mid 5.30’s and the final would be no exception. In spite of McPhillips recording his best et of the weekend, a 5.399, it would be no match for Booher, who left starting line first and never looked back, taking the win with a 5.357 at 266.16 mph.
