Don Schumacher confirmed today that NAPA AUTO PARTS has entered into an associate-sponsorship agreement with Don Schumacher Racing to support five of its NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series professional teams. The familiar blue-and-gold NAPA logo will be featured on Tony Schumacher’s U.S. Army Top Fuel dragster, the U.S. Army-sponsored Pro Stock Motorcycles of Antron Brown and Angelle Sampey, the Ron Capps-driven Brut Revolution Dodge Charger Funny Car, and the Mail Terminal Services Dodge Charger Funny Car of Jack Beckman.

"I am honored to have Don Schumacher Racing enter into such an important marketing and sponsorship agreement with NAPA AUTO PARTS," said team owner Schumacher, also the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Schumacher Electric Corporation of Mt. Prospect, Ill. "As a strong proponent of the business-to-business aspects of a motorsports marketing program, I am proud that this relationship with NAPA extends beyond our racing teams and also includes a business association between NAPA and Schumacher Electric Corporation."

"We are excited about our partnership with one of the premier teams in the NHRA and equally excited to enter into the sport of NHRA Drag Racing," commented NAPA president, Bob Susor. "NAPA has long admired the openness and competitiveness of the sport as well as the various personalities of the drivers. Most importantly, we recognize the loyal fan base associated with the sport and look forward to exposing the NAPA brand though our partnership with Schumacher Racing."
