Kopp’s former dragster has been sold, and he and Team Husky crew members are working on the new 265-inch long dragster. Noted race engine builder Carl Spiering and his ERD (Engine Research & Development) firm are building a new Rodeck powerplant. A two-speed Powerglide-type transmission will be coupled to the new engine on the 1700-pound car. Kopp is estimating between 2000 and 2200 horsepower on tap when he hits the throttle.

Owned and operated by Rick Kopp of Burlington, ON, Kopp Motorsports fields a Top Dragster class car in drag racing events, including several in IHRA eMax Nitro Jam™ Drag Racing Series competition. For 2007, Kopp has stepped up his racing efforts significantly with a new chassis and engine. With the support of Husky Tool, Matcom Industrial Installations, and Eclipse Imaging, Kopp plans to be a dominant force in racing this season under the Team Husky banner.
