JEG'S FOUNDATION RECEIVES GIFTS

The Ohio Valley Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) recently presented a check in the amount of $4,000 to Troy, Mike, and Jeg Coughlin Jr. with the proceeds earmarked for JEGS Foundation Racing for Cancer Research program. The privately-funded entity of the JEGS Foundation for Cancer Research benefits the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, the Columbus Children's Hospital, and the University Hospitals Health System Ireland Cancer Center.

Barry Baker proudly gave the check to the Coughlin brothers as he thanked the many SCCA volunteers and supporters who helped collect the funds throughout the 2006 racing season. Ohio Valley Region members held bakes sales, auctions, and raffles during the annual Stanberry Cup race to honor former members and friends who lost their lives to cancer.

For the second year in a row, Ohioans Mike and Jane DeChicco made a generous contribution to JEG'S Foundation for Cancer Research, which benefits the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, the Columbus Children's Hospital, and the University Hospitals Health System Ireland Cancer Center.

Mike DeChicco and his wife Dr. Jane Graebner have been hosting a winter gala in Delaware County home to raise funds for those touched by cancer. Their second annual Bench Race Winter Nationals & Charity Challenge hosted some of central Ohio's finest drag racers, who all pulled together to raise funds and awareness for cancer research. The winner of the couple's 50/50 raffle and the Bench Race Nationals both contributed their proceeds to DeChicco.
