Longtime Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Angie Smith plans to expand her horizons in 2011. This expansion for Smith will be from two wheels to four.

In the days following the completion of the 2010 season, Smith, the wife of past Pro Stock Motorcycle champion Matt Smith and daughter-in-law of five-time mountain motor Pro Stock titlist Rickie Smith, will test in an undisclosed Texas location behind the wheel of the Yonke Motorsports/JB Coffman Enterprises Pontiac GXP.

In the days following the completion of the 2010 season, Smith, the wife of past Pro Stock Motorcycle champion Matt Smith and daughter-in-law of five-time mountain motor Pro Stock titlist Rickie Smith, will test in an undisclosed Texas location behind the wheel of the Yonke Motorsports/JB Coffman Enterprises Pontiac GXP.

There’s no word on who will supply the team’s horsepower but for now, they will test with a Yonke/Stanfield engine combination.

Smith admits she’s got mixed emotions about the opportunity.

“We’re just adding two wheels and I am both nervous and excited,” Smith conveyed. “I really want to do well and I know I’m facing a really big learning curve. Unlike the bike, I can’t move a Pro Stock car where I need it to go – I’ll be strapped in!

“It’s going to be a lot different for me. But I am up for the challenge. I am beyond excited about it.”
