The California Independent Funny Car Association is pleased that the 2007 Season will mark their 23rd year of competition. With that some exciting events have happened during the off season

Revolving Qualifier Award

CIFCA is pleased to announce the addition of RBS Superchargers from North San Juan, California as the new presenting sponsor of the revolving qualifier award. The award which is given to the number 1 qualifier at the first race, the number 2 qualifier at the second, etc is a great bonus which awards teams for consistent performance throughout the season. Each team who wins the award at each race will receive $100 cash from RBS superchargers.  

Burnout Challenge

Perma-Cool, manufacturer of aftermarket transmission coolers, returns as title sponsor of the fan favorite “Burnout Challenge”. During the second round of qualifying the car that does the burnout that gets the most response from the fans will receive $100 bucks cash from Perma-Cool.

Quick Reaction Award

Enderle Fuel Injection, leader in fuel injection components, returns in 2007 as title sponsor of the Quick Reaction Time Award. This award gives the driver with the quickest reaction time during eliminations a $100 cash award for their efforts.

Best Package Award

Good Vibrations Motorsports, a leader in the high performance parts business, returns in 2007 to sponsor the Best Package Award. The award is presented to the team with the best overall run during eliminations. This is a combination of the driver’s reaction time coupled with a run closet to 7.50 seconds with out breaking out.
