TIME TO RALLY FOR DRAG RACING

It’s time to rally the troops.

One of our own is up for an ESPY award and this time we feel the best motorsport in the world should be properly recognized. Not to take anything away from the other forms of motorsports, but we know what is required in drag racing and while the drivers representing the other forms of auto racing might not say it, many of their fans feel there is no skill needed to go in a straight line, even if the car races at 320 miles per hour.

We all know what Tony Schumacher has accomplished in the last two seasons on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing tour and for him not to win last year was just plain wrong. Once again Tony is up for Best Driver.

It’s time to rally the troops.

It doesn’t matter if you like Top Fuel or Funny Car, or even Pro Modified or Stock eliminator, a fan of Outlaw 10.5, a vote for Schumacher is a vote for drag racing. It’s just that simple.

We are unbiased when it comes to our drag racing coverage but when compared to other forms of auto racing, all bets are off. The bottom line is if you can turn left or right, you are going too slow.

If you're tired of seeing drag racing coverage delayed until lage in the evening, then a vote for drag racing lets ESPN know drag racing fans care and are passionate about their sport.

It’s time to show the motorsports world that America’s home grown sport of drag racing is as American as apple pie and hot dogs.

We are kicking off our personal campaign today and we hope that every time you see an ad for Tony Schumacher, you’ll click on the ad and vote. Schumacher does live close to Chicago, so vote early and vote often.

As drag racing fans, we have a point to prove – let’s prove it today.
