The NHRA's nitro data gathering test scheduled for the day after the NHRA Summit Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio, was cancelled. There's no official word on the next session but most likely it will take place in August after the Western Swing is completed.

When the testing resumes, John Force Racing and Don Schumacher will assist in the data gathering process.

From DSR, the Antron Brown-driven dragster will continue to test the restrictor plate concept, this time dropping the size of the opening by an additional 2 inches; down to about 19 square inches. JFR will continue to develop data on the smaller displacement engine.
