PAST PM SPONSOR PRYOR PASSES AWAY
David Pryor, 56, and noted Pro Modified sponsor passed away suddenly Monday, June 14th, in Southern Pines, North Carolina. He was part owner and President/CEO of Radiac Abrasives,
Pryor was best known for his sponsorship of past Pro Modified champion Mitch Stott.
"To me he meant everything to my racing operation, my success," said Stott. "He not only brought the financial backing but also business knowledge, I might have been missing. He was a true friend and a motivator. It's hard to sum up his life in such a short manner. We had some good times and bad times. He was harsh at times and always let you know where you stood. But, once you were in his business family - you were there for life. I will always appreciate what he meant to me.He loved drag racing and believed in it."
According to Stott, Pryor was in negotiations and close to finalizing a deal to bring Radiac back to drag racing at the time of his passing.
