Veteran drag racing journalist Chris Martin, 63, passed away early this morning following a lengthy illness.

Veteran drag racing journalist Chris Martin, 63, passed away early this morning following a lengthy illness.

Martin is survived by his mother, two brothers and a sister. A celebration of his life will be held at a yet to be determined date.

Martin, formerly a senior editor for National DRAGSTER, was most recently a member of the Drag Racing Online staff.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the Martin family and friends. Drag racing has lost a true talent today.
