RACE REPORTERS CELEBRATES ONE-YEAR WITH FORCE, ASHER AND PAGE TONIGHT

John Force, the 14-time NHRA Funny Car champion and motorsports’ biggest personality, will be the Newsmaker of the Week guest on the one-year anniversary of The Race Reporters radio show, Wednesday, June 9, 7 p.m. EDT, on www.PowerUpChannel.com.

Force was interviewed on the very first The Race Reporters show. Original media panelists Paul Page, of ESPN2’s NHRA drag racing coverage; and Jon Asher, of Attitude's CompetitionPlus.com, also will return for the anniversary program. Plus several surprise guests, from around the racing world, will be on to mark the show’s one-year mark.

Host Michael Knight and The Race Reporters won the first-place prize in the Best Podcast category in the 2009 American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association annual journalism competition. It is the top-rated show on the Power Up Channel.

Force won three of the first six Funny Car races this year, to bring his record career total to 129. He’s currently second in Full Throttle points, 21 behind teammate (and son-in-law) Robert Hight. Daughter Ashley Force Hood is tied for third in the standings.
