SCRIBA, PARISE WIN VMP NEOPMA EVENT
Taking the pole position on the Blower side in the Parise Racing 63 Corvette was Drew “Bam Bam” Parise of Oakdale, NY with a 6.17 at 233.92 MPH. Taking the pole on the Nitrous side in the Mech Tech Racing 05 Cobalt was Isaias Rojas of Puerto Rico with a 6.078 at 234.82.
The Northeast Outlaw Pro Mods “1320 Pro Mod Warrior Series” season opener at Virginia Motorsports Park was a huge success with over 20 Pro Mods contesting eight qualifying positions in each of the two classes.
Taking the pole position on the Blower side in the Parise Racing 63 Corvette was Drew “Bam Bam” Parise of Oakdale, NY with a 6.17 at 233.92 MPH. Taking the pole on the Nitrous side in the Mech Tech Racing 05 Cobalt was Isaias Rojas of Puerto Rico with a 6.078 at 234.82.
In the Nitrous class, Fredy Scriba of Millersville, MD qualified number two with a 6.10 at 234.41 and defeated Joe Dunne in round one, club newcomer Harold Martin in round two, and Vinnie DeMieri in the finals with an impressive 6.06 at 235.75 to a losing 6.28 at 227.27.
On the Blower Side, Dina Parise qualified number five with a 6.241 at 227.50, and defeated Pete Farber in round one, Derrick Townes in round two, and would have faced Steve King in the finals. Steve King hurt the motor in the previous round and couldn’t make the call. Dina ran an 8.15 at 110.04 shutting down early.
