TOP SPORTSMAN RACER SANDY WILKINS JOINS ROUSH-YATES AS PROGRAM MANAGER
Mr. Wilkins has over 26 years experience in the racing industry and knows what it takes to get a racer in the winner’s circle. He has experience in NASCAR, Pro Cup, and Late Model racing but decided to focus solely on drag racing when he started his own business in 2006. A drag racer himself, Wilkins has multiple wins in IRHA National events and is a former champion in NHRA.
Roush Yates Engines is continuing to pave the way for racers at all levels by providing the latest in engine technology that is both affordable and performance driven. Roush Yates’ newest addition to their impressive line of powerful engines will be used in drag racing. Sandy Wilkins of Raleigh, NC has recently joined the Roush Yates Performance Engine Group as the Drag Racing Program Manager.

As Drag Racing Program Manager, Wilkins will oversee the development of engines that range from the sportsman level to pro-stock. He is eager to combine the capabilities of Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions with technology from Roush Yates’ Sprint Cup program to build superior engines for the powerful and competitive realm of drag racing.
“I look forward to the high performance technology that Roush Yates Performance Engine Group has to offer” said Wilkins. “I always wanted to have the means to do everything I think I can with an engine. Now with the help of George Gable at Roush Yates I have the ability to develop and implement these
ideas.”
2005 NHRA Sport Compact Racing Series Modified Champion Justin Humphreys is currently running Roush Yates’ Drag Racing Engine for the 2010 season. Roush Yates’ dedication to building a superior performing drag racing engine is the first of its kind for a prominent NASCAR engine builder.
