Drag racing fan Bill Swanson got into the Drag Racing Fantasy game presented by MotorsportsPromos.com [formerly sponsored by CSK] as a means of trying to redeem himself from poor choices in office/plant sports pools.

Swanson, born and reared in Chicago, ranks second out of 2,756 participants in this season’s competition. He’s currently leads the Attitude’s CompetitionPlus.com Private League.

So how does he come up with the right picks?

“A finger in the air,” said Swanson with a laugh. “Nah, seriously … it’s just a matter of reading the stats and paying close attention to those.”

Just how competitive is the Attitude’s CompetitionPlus.com private league? Four of the contestants are in the top ten percent of overall game players and nine are in the top 25-percent.

At tenth, is magazine publisher/editor Bobby Bennett’s Stealth Racing. 

“Sometime I think I'm treading on thin ice upstaging Mr. Bennett, but he's an understanding man that realizes everyone gets lucky once in a while,” said Swanson.
