AHRA HIRES ACTIVE MARKETING TO COORDINATE MARKETING AND PR EFFORTS

The American Hot Rod Association continued its strategic advancement today by retaining Active Marketing, the Phoenix, Ariz.-based PR and marketing agency headed by former NHRA Pro Mod Challenge series director Matthew Brammer. According to AHRA CEO Troy Moe, Brammer and his team will be responsible for managing the public relations as well as assisting with sponsorship development.
 
"Matthew has the experience in the drag racing world that can help us continue to advance to new levels," Moe said.  "His professionalism and positive attitude fit our culture extremely well, and his track record speaks for itself. I'm excited to have the opportunity to work with him."

Brammer founded Active Marketing in 1993 and for more than ten years has focused on the drag racing market. The company has represented numerous drivers and teams, and Brammer personally served as the series director for the NHRA Pro Mod Challenge for the past several years and was instrumental in bringing the exhibition series to its status as a full professional series.
 
Brammer said, "I'm extremely pleased and honored that Troy has selected us to help him in his endeavors with the AHRA. He's got really big plans for the future and it's exciting to be a part of shaping what will definitely be a bright future for the AHRA.

The AHRA is a drag racing membership organization that was founded in 1956 to sanction racetracks and promote drag racing events throughout the United States and Canada. The company is headquartered in Spokane Valley, Wash. and has a divisional office in Panama City, Fla. The 2010 schedule is highlighted by several drag racing events including: the Reunion Tour, the U.S. Sportsmen Series, the Canadian Sportsmen Tour, and the AHRA U.S. Funny Car Championships.
