The latest challenge for the 28-year old, NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car standout will be taming an ADRL Pro Extreme 1963 Corvette.

Snyder confirmed rumor as fact yesterday that he will be teaming up with two-time ADRL Champion Jason Scruggs for 2010 for a two-car effort. Powersource Transportation will remain Snyder’s major sponsor.

While the team itself and the associate sponsorship will remain primarily the same, the Snyder Motorsports Race Team will return to its roots by putting a Coan converter and Lencodrive transmission in the car, a combination they ran successfully on the NHRA and IHRA TAFC circuits for years.

“Dad [Larry Snyder] and I have thought and talked about racing in Pro Mod for years,” said Snyder. “We discussed it at the beginning of the off season and decided if we could put the right deal together we would make the switch.  Shortly after, things started to fall into place.  It has already been a lot of work, but we are having fun getting everything ready and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and see what she can do.”
