Louis Force didn’t have as hard of a battle with Gordie Bonin, but he didn’t have it easy either.

Force, the older brother of 14-time NHRA champion John Force, grabbed 53.12 percent of the votes to beat Bonin by less than 40 votes as voting ended at 6 PM, EST on Thursday. Bonin turned in a very respectable and competitive 46.88 percent in the losing effort.

By virtue of his larger vote percentage, Force gets lane choice against Musi in the semis.

On the other side of the ladder, Rickie Smith holds lane choice over Bill Doner.

The semi-final round begins on Monday.
