Among the perks planned for the race will be daily product giveaways, featuring products valued at over $500 and a complimentary "Jim Harrington Memorial Racer Appreciation Barbeque” featuring food prepared by head chef Anthony Bertozzi, famous for his “duct tape” chicken dish.  The barbecue will also include a DJ, karaoke, dancing and good times.

The K&N Spring Fling 20's will put bracket racing on the big stage with the legendary NHRA announcer Alan Reinhart at the microphone along with 4 days of free live audio and video streamed over the internet on www.dragraceresults.com making it possible for family, friends, and sponsors to watch the racing action unfold and listen to Reinhart announcing live from the comfort of their home.  There will also be live timing for those who want to follow the numbers along with watching and listening.  As an added bonus, a King of the Mountain gambler shootout will take place Saturday morning featuring a $500 to enter winner take all format with 100% payback.  This exclusive event will consist of two separate races- one for door cars, one for dragsters-with the winners of each going head to head for the title of “The King of the Mountain” presented by McCarty Auto Parts, taking home a bonus prize of an all expenses paid weekend for two to Las Vegas.

After much thought given as to whether to make this race a 1/4 mile or an 1/8 mile race, Peter and Kyle decided to make the K&N Spring Fling 20's event "The 1000 Foot Compromise" as a way of bringing together the bracket racing community. When asked about his ideas for the race, Kyle stated, "In general, racers from the north seem to prefer 1/4 mile racing and racers from the south seem to like 1/8 mile so to split the difference and make it a 1000 foot race was a logical decision for Peter and me to make." Kyle’s mother, Georgia Seipel, has been involved with track management at Infineon Raceway in California for over 25 years.  Another decision Biondo and Seipel reached after careful consideration was to have door cars run against door cars and dragsters run against dragsters for the first 3 rounds, at which point everyone remaining is in the money rounds and combined to run for the big money.
