Bonin, who qualified No. 10 in the 16-participant field, faces Louis Force in the second.

Force, the older brother of 14-time champion John Force, beat veteran drag racing photographer Don Gillespie in the first round. He scored 65.28 percent of the votes after three days of voting.

Because Bonin scored a larger percentage of votes in his win, he will get “lane choice” in the race against Force. Lane choice in the War Stories Showdown enables one to tell their story first.

Their race is scheduled for January 6, 2010.
