Brian Thiel, a nitro and alcohol Funny Car racer on the NHRA tour, was the victim of a massive theft over the weekend.

“There is so much riff-raff, north and south of us, but we are far off of the beaten path out here in farm country. The trailer has been sitting outside of our shop for a few weeks, so this had to be something that was planned.”
There are no leads at present and the team is estimating their losses at $500,000.
“We were just finally allowed into the trailer to check inventory, and we keep finding things that are missing,” added Brad Campbell, a crewman on the team.
