AHRA SANCTIONING BLITZ CONTINUES WITH ANOTHER TRACK SIGNING

The American Hot Rod Association has signed Marion County International Raceway to the growing list of tracks for 2010.  Owned and operated by Mark and Kelly Primavera, MCIR is located in central Ohio just outside of Columbus, Ohio.  The quarter-mile facility was built in 1970 and hosted AHRA National events for three years.  Then during the mid eighties MCIR hosted Sportsman Nationals for IHRA.

“I’m very happy to make the change back to AHRA, we have been looking to make a change back to grassroots racing," said Mark Primavera.

"Our plans are to bring classic racing to the fans and racers at Marion County," said Tom Kreager, AHRA VP of Operations.  "AHRA is very excited to have MCIR on board while we continue to grow in the mid west."
